ATA Mosquito Shield

Our Mosquito Shield creates a treated zone around the perimeter of your home and yard that eliminates adult mosquitoes.

How can the ATA Mosquito Shield help?

Your ATA Service Technician has been trained to identify, eliminate, and treat mosquito larvae and existing biting adults. Treatment entails use of materials in breeding grounds and the application of safe pesticides outside the home where mosquitoes like to hide, including tall grass, trees, shrubs, ivy, under decks, or other places that shield them from direct sunlight.

In addition to itchy bites and disrupting outdoor activities, mosquitoes are known to carry a variety of diseases. This includes West Nile Virus, Zika Virus, Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE) and Lacrosse Encephalitis (LAC), Malaria, Dengue, Yellow Fever and Dog/Cat Heart Worms.

By choosing ATA’s Mosquito Shield, you’ll be able to take back your outdoor living space without worry of diseases, itchy bites, or stinky repellents.

What Can I Do?

Prevent. Mosquitoes can breed in anything that can hold water for up to five days. Common breeding sites include buckets, toys, tires, garbage cans, clogged gutters, tarps, flower pots and plant trays. After it rains, tip those items over or bring them inside. Other more permanent containers such as rain barrels, bird baths, ornamental ponds, unused hot tubs or pools should be covered up with a top, fitted with screening material or rinsed out with fresh water once a week.

Protect yourself. The CDC recommends using repellent products containing DEET.

Know their habits. They are most active from dusk to dawn. Take extra precaution during these times of day if you are planning on staying outdoors.
